Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Unconditional general and/or specialist registration with Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least three (3) years of post-graduate practice, including 6 months general medicine experience
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience of caring for palliative care patients and their families holistically and ethically. Interest in pursuing a career or specialist interest in palliative care
- Demonstrated sound interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated exceptional and sensitive verbal, written and electronic clinical communication to facilitate open and effective relationships patients, families and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to actively contribute to own continuing professional development
- Demonstrated experience of and commitment to medical education and willingness to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of other health professionals
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to ensuring high quality of patient care through participating in peer review, quality assurance, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management activities
- Current Drivers Licence and willingness to travel within the Far West LHD
