Skills and Knowledge

1. Tertiary qualification in a health related discipline or management experience/ qualifications in leadership and change management.
2. Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and resources of the project are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team and to represent nursing and midwifery in a range of forums inside and outside the organisation
4. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner to manage conflict and performance issues then they arise
5. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate strategic plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes for the service and organisation.
6. Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workforce
7. Demonstrated ability to provide support, mentorship and training to all levels of nursing and midwifery leaders of the District
8. Demonstrate a willingness/ ability to travel throughout the Far West LHD to fulfil the position key accountabilities
