Skills and Knowledge

  1. Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated understanding of principles, systems and processes related to patient flow and discharge planning
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes
  4. Proven ability to function effectively as part of a senior management team and to work successfully with other professionals and disciplines in the management of health care services
  5. Broad clinical experience and operational management expertise at a senior level within a health care environment, including strategic planning, the development, implementation & evaluation of organisational Strategic & Business Plans and Project Management
  6. Display a high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication and the ability to function effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
