This position qualifies for a Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (pro-rata part-time/temporary positions less than 18 months), and a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (pro-rata part time), under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (as taxable income).

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a passionate physiotherapist to provide quality assessment and treatment to patients of the Far West Local Health District . In the role, you will be working under the Physiotherapy Manager and will perform examinations and procedures across a varied case load of clients.

How To Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:

  • Qualifications in Physiotherapy with current registration by the Physiotherapists Registration Board and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical Physiotherapy services within your scope of practice.
  • Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of person centred care, quality improvement and evidence based practice
  • Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
  • Ability to work in sites across the Local Health District as required or directed with a valid unrestricted Class C drivers licence for use in NSW and willingness to travel in the course of employment. Availability and capacity to participate in a weekend and public holiday on call service.
