How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other relevant counselling degree deemed appropriate by employer or completion of the ECAV pathway, with demonstrated cultural expertise.
  • Demonstrated high level understanding of the dynamics and effects of sexual assault and demonstrated experience in best practice model for working with young people and adults who have experienced sexual abuse / trauma.
  • Demonstrated experience in, or commitment to, working with Aboriginal individuals who have experienced sexual assault and / or other forms of interpersonal violence and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive counselling services to individuals and their families.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills in combination with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a small therapeutic team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to specialist and cultural supervision and professional education and if relevant to application, experience providing clinical supervision and leading education and teaching to staff and/or students.
  • Maintain high quality counselling and case management records in line with policy guidelines and directives.
  • Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
