The Cancer Institute NSW is Australia’s first state wide cancer control agency, established in 2003 to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

What you will be doing
In this role you will be required to drive the implementation of data quality measures, innovative reporting and data visualisation solutions that are being developed to support research and program indicator development.


In collaboration with other key stakeholders, you will use your understanding of available health service information systems applicable to cancer control, to facilitate the timely access and utilisation of clinical data. 


You will be a team player that thrives in a collaborative, dynamic, and evolving landscape to support the delivery of high-quality cancer related evidence and information to diverse stakeholders.


Essential to the role will be your ability to engage with and influence stakeholders, translating empirical evidence through into actionable insights. You will have strong statistical and programming skills in SAS with a qualification in epidemiology, public health, statistics or health information. 


Whilst technically strong you will also have effective communication skills and the ability to translate and convey epidemiological concepts and nuanced results to your peers and non-technical stakeholders. You will have previous experience in working with linked state and commonwealth administrative data sets and proven skills in data visualisation for new and developing performance indicators.

The Cancer Institute NSW is unable to offer salary packaging. Salaries will be negotiated commensurate to experience and qualifications of the role.
