Program Lead, Aboriginal Strategic Partnership and Stakeholder Management

 

This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Identified position. Remuneration: $141,974.00 – $169,151.00 per annum, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading

What you’ll be doing 

The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer in NSW. The Institute supports and promotes best practice; working to ensure people across the state, no matter where they live, are provided the same high-quality treatment and care that is vital to optimising the outcomes and quality of life for people diagnosed with cancer.

 

Remuneration/Benefits 

In addition to base salary: 

  • 11.5% superannuation 
  • 4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading) 
  • 10 days sick leave 
  • 40 hours per week which include accrual of monthly Allocated Day Off (ADO) x 12 per year.

Essential requirements 

  • Must be a person of Aboriginal descent who has a demonstrated ability to work with and earn the trust and respect of Aboriginal people, communities, and organisations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in a leadership role in a complex public sector environment, or a combination of study and work experience such as in Health Management or the justice system.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in leading the development, review and evaluation of organisational wide strategic plans and policies for improving health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing complex correspondence, including ministerial briefs, business cases, models of care, service agreements and strategic plans and policy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and build relationships for collaboration and cooperation across an organisation, with partners and the community.
  • Demonstrated capacity to encourage and include diverse perspectives in the development of priorities, policies, and strategies: and demonstrated ability to lead the maintain culturally safe and respectful services and workplaces.
  • Demonstrated experience, to successfully deliver on strategic priorities against a statewide plan and manage competing issues to deliver high quality outcomes within required deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, consultation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
