Remuneration: $127,1500.00 – $144,444.00 per annum, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading

What you’ll be doing
The Clinical Trials Optimisation Project Manager will lead and manage the Institute’s initiatives to increase awareness and equitable access to clinical trials across the state and support building the capacity and capabilities of the clinical trials workforce. This role will engage with stakeholders across varying levels to develop innovative solutions to the challenges of access to clinical trials for cancer patients as well as the identification and implementation of strategies to improve the operationalisation of the clinical trials sector with a view of supporting the development of a sustainable and efficient workforce.
Through strong partnerships with the NSW cancer clinical trials community and other key stakeholders, the Clinical Trials Optimisation Project Manager will build and manage relationships to support the Institute programs.
Remuneration/Benefits
In addition to base salary:
- 11.5% superannuation
- 4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading)
- 10 days sick leave
- 40 hours per week which include accrual of monthly Allocated Day Off (ADO) x 12 per year.

Essential requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or postgraduate studies in a scientific, health/medical, project management or similar field, or demonstrated relevant experience.
- Proven experience in all aspects of project management, including budget management and the evaluation and reporting of project outcomes.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the clinical trials landscape, nationally and internationally, current trends and data analysis, state and national policies, structures and programs relevant to clinical trial sector.
- Sound knowledge of the health system in NSW both public and private and the national context and broad knowledge and understanding of key policy issues, also barriers and enablers when driving engagement strategies.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal consultation, negotiation and analytical/problem solving skills in order to effectively manage interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.
Pre-screening questions
Please present an example of a project you have supported or undertaken where you were responsible for planning and delivering milestones and monitoring project activity. Explain what tools you used to ensure that the project was meeting its milestones. How did you communicate the achievements and challenges? How did you engage with stakeholders?
