  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience; including experience and formal training in improvement methodologies and change management.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of antimicrobial stewardship principles including clinical use of antimicrobials in the management of infectious diseases, implications of antimicrobial resistance and evidence-based strategies to improves appropriate prescribing of antimicrobials.
  3. Demonstrated experience and application of quality improvement tools and extensive knowledge and understanding of the principles, structures and processes of quality and safety management.
  4. Demonstrated ability to identify, review and analyse health literature and develop succinct, high-quality written documents, reports, briefs and verbal presentations for senior clinicians, executive-level managers and external stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated analytical skills, with the capacity to undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of clinical data.
  6. Demonstrated ability conducting literature reviews and applying research; preparing and presenting analysis and reports; and managing program risks and implications.
  7. Demonstrated experience in leading large scale healthcare quality improvement initiatives fostering a systematic collaborative approach to improving patient outcomes, including the management of multiple and concurrent initiatives with conflicting milestones and deadlines.
  8. Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including liaising with and influencing stakeholders to adopt and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
