Project Director - Capital Works & Asset Management

• A relevant tertiary qualification in and/or extensive experience at a senior level in managing all aspects of complex capital works projects within a healthcare setting.
• Excellent planning skills including expert level knowledge of design processes and facility planning in a health care service, preferably with experience working within the Ministry of Health Process of Facility Planning.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in contract administration including GC21 MW21 and Mini Minor Work Contracts.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills including the capacity to manage staff, lead change initiatives, manage stakeholder input to capital project and lead negotiations with external providers.
• Demonstrated high level report writing skills especially in the production of detailed technical reports and briefs regarding capital infrastructure procurement and the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and project management software associated with the delivery of capital infrastructure projects.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets to ensure optimal service delivery in capital works projects with a demonstrated capacity to manage budget changes to ensure that required capital outcomes and cash flows are achieved.
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management and Work Health & Safety requirements as they impact on capital works procurement and project implementation.
• Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
