Join Our Team as a Casual Sleep Technician – A Fantastic Opportunity for Uni Students, AINs, or Aged Care and Disability Support Workers!
Are you interested in sleep science and passionate about delivering quality patient care? Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) are looking for Casual Sleep Technicians to join our dedicated team at Gosford Hospital.
The sleep lab operates two nights per week, with additional surge days during peak demand. Sleep Technicians work either an 8-hour overnight shift or a 5-hour evening setup shift, always paired with a colleague for support.
During the setup shift, technicians carefully attach a variety of measurement sensors to patients and ensure all signals are accurate and functioning properly. Overnight, technicians monitor patients closely, making necessary adjustments to optimize the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing.
This position is ideal for:
- Uni students looking to gain clinical experience (flexible around placement)
- Individuals with experience working with patients eg Age Care, Disability Support Workers or AINs
- Those seeking a flexible and meaningful healthcare role
You will be working in a supportive environment with flexible casual shifts—no weekends or Christmas work required.

- You have previous experience in a sleep laboratory or have a willingness to undergo training.
- You are flexible and open to evening and overnight shifts to support patient care.
- You are detail-oriented and accurate, with a demonstrated ability to follow procedures and effectively use information technologies.
