As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients experiencing acute medical situations. You will conduct timely assessments to determine patient needs and coordinate interventions to ensure optimal health outcomes. You will also supervise and delegate tasks to Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing, ensuring all care delivered aligns with best practices and patient safety standards. Your role will include maintaining accurate health records and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

About You
- You have a current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required.
- You are willing and able to work a 24 hour / 7 day rotating roster
- You have the ability to effectively prioritise and organise your own workload.
- You have effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and sound written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

You will be working in the Emergency Department at Wyong Hospital, a facility known for its commitment to excellence in emergency care and patient safety. The department is equipped with advanced medical technology and staffed by a passionate team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing prompt and effective care. Our Emergency Department consists of 3 Rescus beds, 18 Acute Care beds, 12 Fast Track chairs, 5 Paediatric beds and 8 SSU beds.
