Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a committed and culturally capable professional to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in the newly established role of Service Navigator.
This critical position focuses on providing targeted, culturally responsive support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and their families/carers experiencing suspected co-morbid neurodevelopmental, behavioural, and mental health concerns.
As a Service Navigator, you will:

Facilitate access to health and community-based services through timely and appropriate referrals.

Strengthen partnerships with internal teams, NGOs, and CMOs to ensure coordinated, culturally safe care.

Advocate for Aboriginal perspectives in mental health planning and delivery.

Support early intervention, fostering collaborative care pathways that improve outcomes for a priority population.
This role is graded for the following:
- Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Grade 2
- Dietitian Level 3
- Occupational Therapist Level 3
- Physiotherapist Level 3
- Social Worker Level 3
- Speech Pathologist Level 3
- Clinical Psychologist
- Senior Psychologist
- Counsellor Level 3

About You:
- Degree qualifications in area of specialty, and maintenance of all professional registration required to practice, including but not limited to APHRA with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to work from various locations around the district.

Deep understanding and experience working with Aboriginal communities, particularly children and young people.

Skilled in navigating complex health and community service systems.

Known for your collaborative spirit and ability to build trusted relationships.

A passionate advocate for multidisciplinary, integrated care planning—serving as a vital connector across CCLHD, Chief Medical Officers, and private sector stakeholders.
