A unique opportunity is available for an experienced audiologist to temporarily join the audiology team at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. This temporary part-time position will be responsible for providing high quality paediatric audiology services across Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD). This position will manage and direct the delivery of services within the local health district and to speciality patients seen through the various clinics within the ambulatory care centre as well as patients referred from the emergency and acute wards at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. 

About the Role

The main purpose of this Audiology position is to provide high quality audiology services at Gosford Hospital. This position will manage and direct the delivery of services within CCLHD.

About You 
You have: 
  • A Master's degree in clinical audiology and are eligible for full membership of the Audiological Society of Australia, Australian College of Audiology, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical knowledge and experience in the provision of paediatric and adult audiology services within an acute hospital and a high level of contemporary interventional audiology skills.
  • Advanced clinical experience and reasoning skills for adult and paediatric post-operative management (ENT). Experience in the delivery of Ototoxicity monitoring (Chemotherapy - Radiation Therapy - Immunotherapy) an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with confidence and limited supervision. Proven ability to prioritise work, manage conflicting demands, monitor individual performance, problem solve and utilise independent professional judgement.
