 About the Role

  •       As an Allied Health Assistant, you will assist the team with direct patient care, including routine evaluations, preparing patients for treatment, and providing service information.
  •       You will help assess patient needs to inform activity programs and assist in delivering therapeutic activities as prescribed by Allied Health Professionals.
  •       Administrative duties such as word processing, phone calls, photocopying, maintaining inventory records, and monitoring resource utilisation are also key aspects of the role.
  •       Working hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm- Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Support clients, patients, and consumers with day-to-day care activities and therapy preparation
  • Assist in assessments and help deliver tailored therapeutic programs under the guidance of Allied Health Professionals
  • Provide safe, person-centred support with an understanding of the patient’s diagnosis, goals, and precautions
  • Carry out essential administrative duties such as data entry, inventory management, phone handling, and resource tracking
  • Accurately report patient observations and feedback to supervising staff to assist in treatment planning
  • Stay current with training, supervision, and education requirements
  • Follow all NSW Health and CCLHD policies, contributing to a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment
  • Actively demonstrate behaviours aligned with the NSW Health CORE Values and the Caring for the Coast vision

About You

  • You hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant/relevant qualification or willingness to undertake this training. 
  • Current unencumbered NSW driver’s licence and the ability and willingness to travel across sites for meetings and clinical care provision.    
  • You have previous experience working in a health environment, with a range of patient cohorts across inpatient, outpatient and/or community settings. 
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement
