About the Role
The Radiographer/Sonographer role is based at Wyong Hospital, working a rotating roster of varied shifts across 7 days. There may be times you may be instructed to work at other locations across Central Coast Local Health District.
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiographer/Sonographer with extensive knowledge and expertise in performing complex clinical procedures to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the clinical operation of the ultrasound and radiography section, supporting the development of both qualified and trainee sonographers, radiographers, and registrars, and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
You will work closely with colleagues and referrers to prioritise and complete examinations based on clinical needs, managing competing demands in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will contribute to the organisation's safety management system, fostering a positive health and safety culture in the workplace while collaborating with team members to ensure decisions are made with the health, safety, and welfare of everyone in mind.

About You
- You possess a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Sciences) or equivalent as recognised by CCLHD, Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography, along with registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR), the Environment Protection Authority NSW, and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- You have proven knowledge, experience, and proficiency in specialised ultrasound modalities, aligned with the scope of practice recommended by ASA
- You have demonstrated ability to uphold a high standard of clinical practice, making sound, informed decisions in Ultrasound and other imaging modalities to ensure optimal patient care.
