Central Coast Local Health District are seeking a primary contact specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist who can independently diagnose, manage, and discharge clients presenting to Urgent Care Centres (UCC) within the District. The position involves carrying an advanced practice clinical load, and the provision of education and training to Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff.
This position is based at Long Jetty Healthcare Centre and works a roster pattern that can include a 7-day rotating roster as well as varied shift start times such as 8am, 10am and 12pm.
About the Role
The newly established Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is designed to enable faster access to medical care for patients with less serious conditions and ease pressure on Emergency Departments. This position provides primary contact specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy service for the independent diagnosis, management, and discharge of clients presenting to the UCC, utilising expert Physiotherapy clinical knowledge, skills and critical reasoning based on high level clinical evidence and professional development to facilitate novel solutions to complex clinical problems across the continuum of care.

About You
- You have a Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency with expertise in broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge within physiotherapy.
- You have extensive clinical experience relevant to musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
- You have demonstrated experience in managing a clinical service or team and proven ability to effectively prioritise and organise team’s and own work and caseload.
