The CAMHS Safeguards Team is looking for compassionate, skilled, and engaging clinicians who want to make an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of young people experiencing acute mental health distress. We are recruiting to 1 permanent position on a 7 day week rotating roster working Monday to Friday 12:00 to 20:30 and Saturday to Sunday 09:30 to 18:00, and 1 permanent contract working Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00.

  • Psychologist
  • Clinical Psychologist
  • Senior Psychologist
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2
  • Clinical Midwife Specialist Grade 2
  • Social Worker Level 3
  • Welfare Officer Level 3
  • Counsellor Level 3

About the Role

This critical position provides assertive outreach and intensive case management to young people and their families. As a clinician in the Safeguards Team, you will:

  • Be the first therapeutic contact for young people experiencing acute mental health crises
  • Deliver evidence-based individual therapy and care that supports recovery and fosters trust
  • Work closely with families and carers to ensure their voices help shape assessment, treatment, and follow-up
  • Liaise and collaborate with schools, health professionals, and community services to coordinate support
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary planning to ensure holistic, effective care
  • Provide outreach-based intervention, this is a role that gets out into the community and meets young people where they are
