The Bureau of Health Information (BHI) is a board-governed organisation that provides independent reports on the performance of the NSW public healthcare system. What you'll be doing - Web Developer  

The Web Developer is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of functions for BHI’s website to support the strategic objectives of the organisation.

Reporting to the Website Manager the role requires strong technical abilities and expertise in web tools, publishing and web systems operations to develop and publish high quality web resources and content. BHI’s communications function supports the organisation’s core objectives and enhances its position as a credible source of independent information on the performance of the public health system in NSW.

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time for 1 year  
Position Classification: Health Mgr Lvl 2
Remuneration: $97,812 - $116,013 per annum plus superannuation

Location: Currently based in Chatswood and moving to St. Leonards’ in 2020
Hours Per Week: 38

Selection Criteria


  1. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing web concepts, functions and applications.
  2. Demonstrated skills and experience with current online publishing trends, methods and platforms with advanced skills and knowledge of HTML5, PHP, JQuery JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Bootstrap, JSON and MySQL.
  3. Experience with content management systems, and in particular MySource matrix.
  4. Experience with software such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft, Funnelback and social media applications.
  5. Demonstrated experience working as part of project teams, and strong interpersonal skills with the capability to teach and learn.
  6. Demonstrated time management capabilities to manage multiple or competing priorities, meet tight deadlines and with strong attention to detail.
  7. Solid understanding of UI with an ability to communicate and work with non-technical users.
  8. Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience and knowledge.
