Senior Data Analyst / Biostatistician

1. Evidence of advanced analytic skills: extensive data analysis and interpretation of healthcare evidence and improvement strategies; developing and validating methods and measures of health system performance; preparing and presenting analysis and reports; and developing associated information or resources.
2. Experience and expert knowledge of statistical analysis software such as SAS, and other products such as Excel to optimise efficiency and quality of data outputs.
3. Extensive knowledge of healthcare data collections for NSW and Australia, including their strengths and limitations.
4. Extensive experience conducting and interpreting statistical analyses of population-based administrative data, survey data, and/or linked data, in order to describe and compare the health system performance for a range of audiences (public, clinical, policy makers).
5. Demonstrated experience of collaborating and working effectively in a team-based environment, while making a unique contribution to a larger deliverable.
6. Experience providing analytic support, advice, mentorship and / or supervision to less experienced data analysts.
7. Relevant graduate and / or post graduate qualification and / or equivalent relevant experience.
