The Bureau of Health Information (BHI) is a board-governed organisation that provides independent reports on the performance of the NSW public healthcare system. What you'll be doing - Graphic Designer  


The Graphic Designer is responsible for the production and design of high quality reports and information products to support the strategic objectives of BHI. The position requires strong creative and technical abilities to effectively communicate complex healthcare data to stakeholders, media and the public.

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, the Graphic Designer works collaboratively with colleagues throughout BHI to assist with the development of long form reports, complex graphs, brochures, high-quality presentations, web design, and other communications material as required, all while following BHI’s corporate brand guide.

Remuneration: $97,812 - $116,013 per annum plus superannuation

Location: Currently based in Chatswood and moving to St. Leonards’ in 2020

Selection Criteria


 

  1. Proven design experience in the production of complex and long form information reports, tables and graphs for digital output and print.
  2. Proven strong attention to design detail and branding guidelines to ensure delivery of accurate information.
  3. Demonstrated experience with, and examples of usage of, Adobe InDesign for long form design reports, and other Adobe products to create animations and infographics.
  4. Demonstrated skill usage across all Microsoft Office products, in particular developing and maintaining Word templates, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  5. Demonstrated experience working as part of a communications team in delivering complex and detailed data and information to varied audiences.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organisational and time management skills and experience in handling confidential matters.
  7. Proven examples of working in a design team and following design instruction.
  8. Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or equivalent experience.
