Clinical Nurse Consultant – Continence Clinic UWMH

Selection Criteria:

1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Minimum 5 years post registration fulltime equivalent experience as a registered nurse, with relevant qualification in continence nursing or equivalent experience in relevant specialty.
3. Proven specialist continence nursing skills inclusive of comprehensive continence assessment, prescription and care planning in the aged and complex patient population.
4. Sound knowledge and experience of adult learning principles with proven skills in clinical teaching and the identification of education needs within continence speciality.
5. Demonstrated high level communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums inclusive of verbal, written, presentation and report writing.
6. Ability to self-direct, initiate, meet deadlines, work autonomously and also collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
7. Demonstrated drive and involvement in professional nurse practice development underpinned by policy, evidence based research, quality improvement projects thereby promoting a culture of service improvement and clinical innovation in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
8. Advanced competency with MS Office suite and relevant health information systems.
