Senior Project and Change Officer, Program Accelerator

We are looking for someone who can: 

  • Participate in specialist teams and be accountable to the Program/Project Manager for the coordination, operationalisation and execution of the project plan or implementation plan, and ensuring that operational tasks are actioned within scope, timeline, budget and quality standards. Demonstrated experience within a health setting, or experience and skills transferrable to a health setting is advantageous.
  • Apply project or change management methodologies to allocated concurrent projects.
  • Provide timely high-level advice and support on the design, and delivery of project, change and adoption strategies or resources, to ensure senior staff have key information to inform strategic decision making.
  • Develop and maintain essential project and change documentation. Communicate project status, milestones, risks and achievement to governance committees, senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Travel within NSW if required.

What you will be doing  

The Program Accelerator team ensures that priority and complex projects are set up for success by setting a consistent method and standards for managing projects and change. The Program Accelerator team may lead or contribute expertise to the design and delivery of priority projects and ensure alignment to the Agency for Clinical Innovation's strategic goals and objectives.

The Senior Project and Change Officer provides the operational oversight and coordination to deliver the program, project and change management plan or strategies across any stage of the project life cycle. The role will support a delivery focused approach to project and change management leveraging different methodologies, whilst remaining agile to meet competing demands and changing system priorities. Activities include the full role of project and change activities including project or implementation planning, milestone reporting, stakeholder consultation, event planning, reporting, capability building. The role will work across multiple projects designed to deliver healthcare improvement initiatives, in hospitals and clinical settings across NSW Health.

Employment details 

Employment Type: Two Permanent Full-Time role available
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3
Remuneration: $127,150.00 - $144,444.00 per annum excluding Superannuation
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated relevant health management/ industry experience and transferrable skills to a health setting.
  2. Demonstrated experience in designing, coordinating and delivering project or change management plans within scope, timelines and quality standards, and using project management or change management methodologies to deliver results in a health setting.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume environment with multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders across a range of subject matter areas.
