What you will be doing
As part of the Strategy, Communication, Planning and Engagement (SCOPE) Directorate, the External Communications and Engagement Manager provides leadership to a small team of marketing and communications project officers with a focus on promoting information, running events and driving initiatives that engage key stakeholders and connect them to our work.
The position has responsibility for media management, developing the ACI’s communications channels, and designing communications and engagement plans that showcase the ACI’s projects to improve knowledge of innovation initiatives across the health system. The position holder will support internal engagement initiatives to keep ACI employees informed of key organisational updates.

Employment Type: Full Time – Permanent
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 4
Remuneration: $137,173.00 - $163,431.00 per annum excluding Superannuation
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria / Questions
- Proven experience in the development and successful implementation of innovative communications and marketing strategies to drive engagement and build brand awareness.
- Extensive experience as a communications practitioner with the ability to quickly grasp and interpret complex strategies, interact with customers, peers and senior leaders, develop and implement impactful communications plans and effectively manage media.
- Demonstrated experience leading change, with the ability to design, manage and execute multiple promotion and communications projects that capture the attention of key stakeholders.
- High level verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with extensive experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.
