We are looking for
 
  • Extensive experience in analysing large complex data using multiple data sources and demonstrated knowledge of health data collections.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills with proven capability to influence diverse groups in all stages of a project.
  • Experience working within the complex NSW health system.
 
What you will be doing
 

The Evidence Generation Manager (data) will work collaboratively with all ACI Portfolios, the Ministry for Health, Local Health Districts, Hospitals and health professionals to facilitate and complete multifaceted evidence reviews.

 

With expertise in complex statistical analysis, stakeholder engagement and project management within NSW Health, the Evidence Generation Manager (data) will:

  • Lead the empirical evidence stream of the Evidence Generation and Dissemination function – accessing and assessing validity and utility of data sources, triangulating data, provide strategic advice on potential new analytic and data collection approaches

  • Lead the responsive data analytic function to provide timely, valid and relevant information to clinical networks, the ACI Executive and other stakeholders
  • Advise and liaise with audit and feedback teams to assess scientific rigour and develop effective approaches to assessment and reporting
  • Conduct advanced statistical and data analyses of a range of health related information
  • Work collaboratively with data analysts in STEP and other NSW Health entities regarding data governance issues
  • Work collaboratively with experts in design, communications, clinical practice and change management to produce a suite of evidence-based reporting products

Selection criteria

 

  1. Post graduate tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent; and extensive experience in a bio-statistical role with demonstrated experience using SAS or similar statistical packages
  2. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing capability of multidisciplinary teams including providing guidance and advice to staff and fostering a performance-based and customer-focused culture
  3. Proven ability to undertake complex statistical analysis using multiple data sources including linked data sets and demonstrated knowledge of health related data collections, their strengths and limitations as well as data governance processes
  4. Demonstrated experience leading the development of an design analyses and providing expertise to inform decision-making to continuously improve health service delivery
  5. Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to adopt and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Project management experience
