  • 10 month contract opportunity commencing September 2019 focussing on completion of clinical guidelines, facilitation of expert knowledge sharing , stakeholder engagement, project management and process improvements within the Intensive Care network.

  • Flexible Working Organisation based in Chatswood and will be moving to state of the art, agile offices in St Leonards in 2020.

We are looking for
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and clinical experience in Intensive Care. Nursing background would be beneficial
  • Excellent project management and negotiation skills with ability to deliver high quality project outcomes within tight timeframes
  • Strong analytical skills the ability to interpret large complex data and present in a useful and fit for purpose information
What you will be doing

The Clinical Specialist Officer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic priority projects that improve the quality of Intensive Care Service provision across NSW. The role incorporates the domains of:

• Evidenced based practice;
 • Consultancy;
• Education;
• Clinical networking;
 • Knowledge management.

The Clinical Specialist Project Officer will work collaboratively with the Intensive Care NSW (ICNSW) Director, Intensive Care NSW Network Manager and team; ICNSW Committees; hospital managers and clinicians and ACI networks to support the work plans of Intensive Care NSW and the ACI.

Selection criteria


  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health discipline with demonstrated extensive senior clinical experience in Intensive Care.

  2. Demonstrated experience in project management and the implementation of projects, frameworks and/or initiatives and providing high level.

  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate change and improvement initiatives with senior clinicians and executives.

  4. Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex information rapidly and accurately to facilitate solution design, and to produce reports and evaluation.
