Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for the provision of health services to the local government area. WSLHD has individual facilities located at Westmead, Cumberland, Auburn, Blacktown and Mount Druitt.
All hospitals provide a range of both in-patient and outpatient services to clients both from within the boundaries of the WSLHD and cross border flows


What you'll be doing
WSLHD - Advanced Trainee – Obstetrics & Gynaecology

The position of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Advanced RANZCOG Trainee is for accredited RANZCOG ITP Trainees Year 2 and above. The primary purpose of the Trainee in this position is to learn about and then provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism. The Trainee can expect to achieve the Core Training requirements set out by RANZCOG.

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
  2. Is a medical officer in fourth (or greater) postgraduate year and has completed at least 12 months of Accredited RANZCOG ITP Training
  3. Has obtained a transfer form to move networks signed by your current ITP coordinator and Head of Department.
  4. Please describe your willingness to participate in the overtime roster (including night roster), and willingness to rotate between district and rural hospitals
  5. Please list your research experience including posters/publications and presentation.
  6. Please demonstrate how you have been involved in teaching and leadership roles
  7. What ITP training requirements do you have left to complete (i.e. US and colposcopy modules, research requirement etc.)
