Selection criteria

  1. MBBS or equivalent, current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  2. Completion of at least two post graduate years by the end of current clinical year. The applicant must be registered with General Registration and worked in an Australian Hospital with a least 6 Months experience in Surgery
  3. Demonstrated commitment to relevant SET training program. The candidate should demonstrate that they have either (i) completed (desirable) or (ii) on track to complete the requirements for admission to SET training. This includes the completion of courses, exams and terms.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment and independently to deliver excellent clinical care. It is preferable that candidates demonstrate excellent technical and non-technical skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the academic environment of the Department. It is preferable that candidates demonstrate experience in research and/or teaching.
  6. Please upload evidence of completion (if applicable) of the following: (1) EMST, (2) CCrISP, (3) ASSET, (4) CLEAR, (5) Generic Surgical Sciences Examination (GSSE).
