Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated Provisional Fellow to join the Emergency Department (ED) at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH).
Where you'll be working
Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.
What you'll be doing
As a Provisional Fellow of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Emergency Department (ED), you will provide clinical services to patients within the ED at a senior level, including the supervision of junior staff in addition to administrative and teaching responsibilities and an opportunity to initiate and participate in research.

- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role and demonstrated ability to work with appropriate independence, commensurate with a level of a Specialist Provisional Fellow, within a complex clinical environment.
- Fellowship of Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or suitable overseas specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine or final year of training towards fellowship with completion (or expected completion) of the ACEM Fellowship Exam.
- Clinical excellence across the entire range of the emergency medicine casemix, including trauma and paediatrics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- An ability to work as part of a team in the Emergency Department.
- Commitment to quality improvement and research in the Emergency Department.
- Commitment to ongoing education and teaching of nursing staff, medical students and postgraduate medical staff at all levels.
