Selection Criteria:

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  2. Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as an Advanced Trainee, successfully completed both written and clinical components of the FRACP examination.
  3. Advanced Trainee with at least 6 months experience in Allergy and Immunology or an allied subspecialty such as Gastroenterology, BMT, Oncology, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases or Rheumatology.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
  5. Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
  6. Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
  7. Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent time management, problem solving skills, clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
