Selection Criteria

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  2. Expected to complete CICM training time in the next 12 months, or eligible for transition year of CICM training
  3. Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills required to manage critically ill patients independently under indirect supervision
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills required to lead and support a team of junior medical officers
  6. Interest in teaching and quality assurance activities relevant to Intensive Care Medicine
  7. A professional attitude and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters
