Bioinformatician - Statewide Genomics

- Postgraduate degree in Science/Computer Science/Engineering in bioinformatics or genomics or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing efficient bioinformatics workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-based computing and software development.
- Proven proficiency in bioinformatics packages and computing/scripting languages for genomic data analysis.
- Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated strong strategic, organisational and planning skills with the capacity to successfully meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written expression, and the ability to interact with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and critically evaluate legislation and regulation related to genomic and health data from an operational perspective.
