  1. Postgraduate degree in Science/Computer Science/Engineering in bioinformatics or genomics or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in developing efficient bioinformatics workflows.
  3. Demonstrated experience with cloud-based computing and software development.
  4. Proven proficiency in bioinformatics packages and computing/scripting languages for genomic data analysis.
  5. Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment and ability to manage competing priorities.
  6. Demonstrated strong strategic, organisational and planning skills with the capacity to successfully meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written expression, and the ability to interact with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Demonstrated ability to interpret and critically evaluate legislation and regulation related to genomic and health data from an operational perspective.
